Officially the Dorothy Frances Rice Sanctuary for Wildlife, a nearly 300-acre New England Forestry Foundation property of woodlands, meadows and a pond just south of Peru center. A gated trailhead on South Road opens onto a well-maintained network including a 4.1-mile perimeter loop.
