Fisk Meadows WMA follows the slow, meandering Dead Branch of the Westfield River, where beaver activity keeps a wide marsh flooded most of the year. Most people reach the open water by kayak or canoe, carried in from a Route 143 pull-off at the south end or from a rough track off Old Chesterfield Road on the east side.
