Right now

A small ornamental lake and park off Veterans Road, formed in the early 1900s when land was filled around what had been Crystal Cove. The WPA reworked the banks into grassy slopes in the 1930s and added a winter skating area; today it is mostly a quiet spot for walking and birdwatching.
