What to expect
Dogs
Wilmington requires dogs to be on a leash no longer than six feet in any public area of town unless the area is officially designated as a dog park or dog exercise area. That's the town-wide default; watch for posted signs here.
Hours
The Town Beach at Silver Lake has lifeguards on duty daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the beach season, which runs roughly from mid-June through mid-August. Posted hours at the entrance win if they differ.
