Maypole Park (also called Maypole Hill) is a 1.1-acre pocket park on Samoset Avenue in Merrymount that marks the site of Thomas Morton's 1627 maypole, the first recorded maypole celebration in what became the United States. It is mostly a historical marker and viewpoint rather than a recreation park, with winter views to Boston and Quincy Bay through the bare trees.
