Common questions
Is Lake Siog good for young kids?
There's a swim beach with free life jackets in several sizes, but there's no lifeguard, so it takes more direct supervision than a guarded beach would.
Are the beach and the boat ramp the same parking lot?
No. The swim beach parking is off Dug Hill Rd, and the boat ramp parking is about a mile away off Pond Bridge Rd near the dam. Bring a boat and you'll want the Pond Bridge Rd lot, not the beach lot.
Where do I park at Holland Pond Recreation Area?
Free lot (free).
Can I bring my dog to Holland Pond Recreation Area?
Dogs must be on a 6-foot leash at the Lake Siog recreation area (place-specific rule, stricter/more specific than the townwide leash bylaw, which does not set a length).
Is Holland Pond Recreation Area wheelchair accessible?
Several handicap parking spots at the swim beach; no indoor bathroom or changing area
What rules should I know at Holland Pond Recreation Area?
At the Pond Bridge Road beach the town bans launching a vessel, fishing inside the designated swimming area, camping, and fires of any kind, including cooking fires.
