An 11-acre town conservation area on the highest point in Winchester (338 feet), in the hilly west side of town. The town has owned it since 1903; a water standpipe that once stood on the summit was abandoned in 1945, and stone walls and cedar trees mark its past as pasture land.

Why is it called Mount Pisgah?
The hill carried older names, Indian Hill and Andrews Hill, before being renamed Mount Pisgah in the early 1900s after the biblical mountain where Moses viewed the promised land.
In winter, when leaves are down, parts of the hill open up a view of the Boston skyline.
