Part of Slocum Meadow, a wetland and floodplain complex of more than 300 acres along West Brook that is almost entirely undeveloped except for a few trails; a roughly 75-acre parcel on Gulf Street owned by the New England Forestry Foundation is open to the public and connects to town land.
