A small, steep conservation parcel above the Connecticut River where King Philip's forces are said to have encamped in early 1676 during King Philip's War. A loop trail climbs to the bluff and descends a sandy esker; the Town of Northfield acquired it in 1974 for conservation and historic preservation.
