Nearly 1,000 acres of city-owned forest close to downtown that doubles as a drinking-water supply protection area and a popular hiking and mountain-biking network. The city added 229 more acres in a 2024 purchase, reachable from Sylvester Road, on top of the original Col Lavalley Lane trailhead.
