A roughly 989-acre BNRC ridgeline reserve along the Hoosac Range with rock ledges and sweeping views over North Adams and Mount Greylock, reached from a Route 2 trailhead near the Western Summit and offering a short loop to Sunset Rock or a longer ridge hike to Spruce Hill.

Hoosac Range Reserve is a public preserve in North Adams, MA. There is no live closure feed for preserves & forests; the town's site is the authority for temporary closures.
There's a small dirt-and-gravel pullout on Route 2 near the Western Summit overlook; it's easy to miss and fits only a handful of cars.
