Dinosaur Footprints is an 8-acre Trustees of Reservations site along Route 5, where visitors can walk down an easy slope to sandstone ledges holding some of the first scientifically described dinosaur tracks in the world, dating to 1836. Ripple marks and plant fossils are visible in the same rock near the river's west bank.
