A roughly 40-acre town conservation tract of maple and white pine forest along the Squannacook River, the Conservation Commission's very first holding, donated by the Groton Leatherboard Company in 1963. It extends across the river into Shirley and borders the much larger state-owned Squannacook River WMA.
