Flat Rock is a Mass Audubon sanctuary of roughly 326 acres of forest, rocky ledges, and hemlock groves minutes from downtown Fitchburg. About six miles of blue-and-yellow-blazed trails wind through it and connect into the neighboring Crocker Conservation Area and city watershed lands.
