A 1,169-plus-acre former ski resort turned DCR and MassWildlife property, its 3-mile loop trail crossing open meadows, hemlock-hardwood forest, and the Appalachian Trail corridor beneath the jutting profile of Jug End Mountain. The state took control in 1994 after the Jug End Barn resort closed for good in 1983.
