Brickyard Conservation Area is an 89-acre parcel off South East Street and Mill Lane that ties together the Norwottuck Rail Trail, Wentworth Farm and Kiwanis Park. The short Brickyard Brook loop trail makes it an easy add-on to a rail-trail walk.

The northern link to the Norwottuck Rail Trail is off limits to horses and mountain bikes because of seasonally wet conditions or fragile soils
Dogs
Dogs must be leashed at all times on Amherst Conservation Lands; the only off-leash exceptions are Lower Mill River and Amethyst Brook, daily between dawn and 10am, and off-leash dogs must be under strict voice control at all times
