Wachusett Reservoir is a 4,100-acre drinking-water supply reservoir that borders Clinton on the town's west side. DCR and MWRA open several gated shoreline access points and the North Dike walking route within Clinton for shore fishing and hiking, but swimming and boating are banned because the reservoir supplies drinking water.
