An 18.9-acre pond in Brighton, excavated in 1855 for ice harvesting and now the last survivor of nearly twenty ponds that once dotted Allston-Brighton. A paved path along about two-thirds of the shoreline draws walkers and birdwatchers past resident swans and geese.
