A town park on New Athol Road reached through a patchwork of side streets, which is part of why it stays quiet. A half-mile flat perimeter road suits strollers, picnic tables sit along the shore, and shore fishing turns up bass, perch, sunfish and pickerel. Boating is not allowed on the lake and fishing from the beach itself is off limits.
