Two playground areas plus a ballfield and multi-use path on the Sunderland Elementary School campus, rebuilt with over 13,000 square feet of passive and active play space in a 2022 renovation. Open to the public only when school isn't in session.
What to expect
Dogs
A dog off its owner's or keeper's property must be held firmly on a leash; running at large is a violation. Owners must pick up after their dog on any sidewalk, street, park or other public area, and must carry something to pick it up with.
Accessibility
The 2014 renovation (funded via Community Preservation Act money) included accessibility improvements to the elementary school playground; the Early Childhood Playground was separately restored/rehabilitated in 2018.
