Ryan Playground is one of two DCR-run playgrounds along the Neponset River in Mattapan, combining a wading pool with basketball and tennis courts, a tot lot, and open field space beside the Lower Neponset River Trail. A $2.2 million contract begun in 2025 is roughly doubling the wading pool and adding shade stations and a rinsing station.
