Salem requires dogs off the owner's property to be leashed and under control; a dog at large on a public beach, park, or mall draws a $50 fine. Posted signs at the site take precedence.
Hours
Salem's parks and playgrounds close at sunset, with lighted athletic fields open until 11:00 p.m.; Salem Willows Park stays open until 11:30 p.m. from Memorial Day through October 1. That's the town default unless posted otherwise.
