The Hadley stretch of the paved, DCR-managed Norwottuck Branch of the Mass Central Rail Trail, an 11-mile bike/pedestrian path opened in 1993 that runs between Northampton and Amherst through Hadley center. A free trailhead lot sits on Railroad Street near Hadley center, commonly called the Hadley Depot access.
