Boston's first city-sanctioned off-leash dog park, opened in Peters Park in 2007 and named for South End resident Joe Wex, who led the multi-year campaign to build it. It has over 13,000 square feet of gravel-and-stone terrain with a separate fenced small-dog section, double-gated entry, benches, and shade.
