Sandwich's principal ocean beach, a roughly one-mile sandy strand on Cape Cod Bay right next to the canal's east entrance, recently rebuilt with dredged sand after years of erosion. A wooden boardwalk crosses the salt marsh behind it, linking the beach to the village.
