Common questions
Is Revere in Revere open today?
Open, no advisory on record in the latest MA DPH posting (updated 2026-07-16). MA DPH is the authority. Check the status the morning you go.
Do I have to pay to park at Revere Beach?
No. DCR tried metering parking in 2021; a Massachusetts law passed that year permanently bars the state from charging for parking or installing meters at Revere Beach without local approval. Street parking along Revere Beach Blvd and Ocean Ave is free, first-come-first-served, with a 4-hour limit on the ocean side.
Can I bring my dog to Revere Beach?
Not during the main season - dogs are prohibited on the beach from April 1 through October 1.
Are there restrooms at Revere?
Public restrooms are listed near the beach. Seasonal hours are common, so they may be closed off-season.
What rules should I know at Revere?
Piping plover nesting areas are fenced off in-season; stay outside fenced sections. No open flames / grills. No bird feeding. No dogs April 1 - October 1. No parking on Revere Beach Blvd 9-10am (street cleaning) and 10pm-7am (ocean side).
