A working-harbor beach with no single entrance. You get to the sand through more than a dozen narrow, sometimes unmarked town landings squeezed between shops and guesthouses along Commercial Street. Calm, warm bay water with boat traffic close by; better for a quick dip and watching MacMillan Wharf than a big-beach day.

Where do I park if the lots near my landing are full?
Grace Hall, at Prince and Bradford Streets, has 354 spaces and MacMillan Pier Lot has 323; both are staffed, open 24/7 and card-only. The West End lot has 45. Numbered on-street spaces are paid through the Passport Parking app, zone 2657, and enforced 8am to midnight.
When can dogs be off-leash on the beach?
From Memorial Day through November 1, 6am to 9am and 6pm to 9pm, under voice and sight control. From November 2 through the day before Memorial Day, 6am to 9pm. Dogs must be restrained on town beaches at all other times.
